 Prithvi Shaw gave a good start to the team along with Sikhar Dhawan whre Prithvi played some attacking shots and departed by Deepak Chahar on 24 runs (5 fours). Shreyas Iyer looked good due to Dhawan’s slow innings pressure was built on Iyer which forced him to for big shots as a result of which Iyer got out by Tahir on 18 runs   (1 six). Rishab Pant scored runs by playing attacking cricket where he scored 25 runs  (2 fours, a six) of 13 balls and departed by Bravo who took 2 wickets in an over and shifted the momentum. Due to Dhawan slow innings of 51 runs (7 fours) Delhi managed to set a competitive total of 147-6 in 20 overs.

 Watson gave a quick start to the team but CSK lose the wicket of Rayudu in the 3rd over of match after scoring 5 runs of 5 balls. Watson played aggressively along with Raina but Watson was departed by Amit Mishra on 44 runs (4 fours, 3 sixes). Amit Mishra took another wicket in his 3rd over of match by departing Raina on 30 runs (4 fours, 1 six) of 16 balls. Kedar Jadhav along with MS Dhoni batted slow and comfortably and take the match close to the 20 over where Jadav was departed by Rabada on 27 runs of 34 balls with 2 fours. DJ Bravo came to hit the winning shot and CSK won the match by 6 wickets where MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten innings of 32 runs of 35 balls with 2 fours.
