 The new opening pair Joe Denly along with Subhman Gill came to open the inning for KKR but the debutante from England departed in the first ball of the inning on a golden duck. Than the partnership between Subhman and Robin Uthappa which helped the team to score 41 runs in the powerplay even after losing a wicket and they scored 63 runs in 8.3 overs where Uthappa scored 28 runs (4 fours, 1 six) of 30 balls but was sent bak to pavilion by Rabada and another wicket picked by Chris Morris. Subhman Gill and Andre Russell were on the crease and than than the started to flow and in between Subhman compled his 2nd IPL fifty and scored 65 runs (7 fours,2 sixes) of 39 balls and got out by kemo Paul. Dinesh Kartik too got out by Rabada on 02 runs but Russell once again muscled the ball all around the park and scored 45 runs (3 fours, 4 sixes) of just 21 balls and got out by Chris Morris which helped DC to restrict KKR on 178-7 in 20 overs.

 Delhi Capital got a good start as they scored 57 runs in the powerplay but also lost 2 wickets. Than a partnership between Sikhar Dhawan and Rishab Pant carried the momentum and scored 105 runs of 11.3 balls but once again Rishab Pant failed to finish off the match and got out after scoring 46 runs of 31 runs with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Where on the other end Sikhar Dhawan played a brilliantly and showed that he was back in form with his unbeaten 94 runs of 63 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes which made the team win the match by 7 wickets as the scored 180-3 in 18.5 balls. The bowlers bowled well but couldn’t won the match for the team as President Krishna, Russell and Nitish Rana picked one wicket each.
